The context

Tunisie Telecom, the country's incumbent operator, wants a wallet in the pocket of its millions of customers: instant transfers, bills, top-ups, diaspora remittances. The service must carry its brand, rest on a licensed payment institution and meet the bar of a nationwide launch.

The challenge

Launch fast, with no compromise: KYC journeys aligned with central bank circulars, certified international corridors, an agent network with managed liquidity, and an app the public adopts from the first touch. All in 5 months, where the market counts in years.

Three players, three roles

The strength of the setup: everyone does what they do best.

The brand and the distribution

Tunisie Telecom

Kashy is sponsored by Tunisie Telecom: its brand, commercial reach and point-of-sale network carry the service to the public.

The payment institution

Viamobile

First payment institution licensed by the Central Bank of Tunisia, Viamobile operates the service: e-money, compliance and regulatory obligations.

The technology and the support

Konnect Networks

The platform, the apps and the reconciliation; support from scoping to launch, grounded in our own experience as a licensed payment facilitator.

The deployment, month by month

  1. M1

    Scoping & compliance

Scope, regulatory limits and KYC journeys aligned with Viamobile and BCT requirements; the service architecture is set while the Kashy brand takes shape.

  2. M2

    Integrations

Western Union, MoneyGram and MyEasy Transfer corridors plugged into the engine, billers and top-ups connected, agent network equipped, automated reconciliation live.

  3. M3

    Pilot & launch

Controlled ramp-up across the point-of-sale network, apps proven in the field, then nationwide launch under the Kashy brand.

  4. Nationwide launch

The lap time behind the Konnect method

The experience that drives adoption

A consumer wallet is won at account opening and in the first three taps. The Kashy app, the agent app and the back-offices are designed by the same team as the engine: smooth KYC onboarding, money sent in three taps, agent liquidity visible on one screen.

« We were looking for a partner able to hold a nationwide launch schedule without compromising on regulatory requirements. That is exactly what happened. »
